A celebration event for Coleraine Football Club's Irish Cup win will be held in Coleraine town centre on Saturday, July 4, after a council motion was passed. The motion, proposed by Alderman Mark Fielding and seconded by Councillor Tanya Elder, called on Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to formally recognise the team's achievement.

The council is organising the event in partnership with Coleraine Connect. Mayor Councillor Dawn Huggins said the cup victory was a proud moment for the entire borough and thanked her colleagues for bringing the motion forward. She described the event as an opportunity for supporters, families and the wider community to come together.

Coleraine Connect Chairman Johnny Fielding said he was pleased to work with the council and the club on the event. He noted the community spirit shown in the lead-up to the final, with businesses and residents showing support, and encouraged people to attend and support local businesses.

Coleraine FC Chief Executive Officer Dale Pryde-MacDonald expressed the club's delight that the celebration would take place in the town centre. He acknowledged that community backing was essential to the cup success and said it was humbling to have that support recognised. He added that the club hoped the day would set a positive tone for the 2026/27 season.
