Coleraine to celebrate Irish Cup win with town centre event
Coleraine town centre will host a public celebration of Coleraine FC’s Irish Cup victory on Saturday, July 4.
The event, called Benny the Bannsider’s Big Day Out, begins at 11am and includes opportunities to meet manager Ruaidhri Higgins and the first-team squad.
A Q&A session with Higgins and the players will take place on the main stage, followed at 11.45am by a panel of club legends — Liam Beckett, Frankie Moffatt, Jody Tolan and Eoin Bradley — sharing memories of past Irish Cup triumphs.
Supporters can have their photograph taken with the Irish Cup at the Town Hall from 11am. The club mascot, Benny, will be present alongside players for a meet-and-greet session between 11am and noon.
A Keepy Uppy Challenge is scheduled for 12.10pm, with a Coleraine FC voucher awarded to the winner. From 1.30pm to 3pm, live music will be provided by the band Cellar Door on the main stage.
Additional attractions include football-themed inflatables on Railway Road and balloon modelling.
