A Co Fermanagh food business has secured a spot in ALDI's annual supplier development programme.

Embark Protein will see its high-protein snack bars stocked in all 167 ALDI stores across Ireland from June 25, while supplies last.

The company, based in Co Fermanagh, produces bars that combine wholesome ingredients with what it describes as exciting textures. Its products have already won three Great Taste Awards.

Rachael O'Connor, ALDI Ireland's Buying Director, said the quality and creativity of this year's entrants was exceptional and she encouraged shoppers to support the local producers.

The Grow with ALDI initiative is now in its ninth year. Run in partnership with Bord Bia, the programme has seen ALDI invest over €11.5 million to date in promoting Irish food and drink innovation.

Nine businesses from across Ireland were selected as finalists, with 18 new products set to appear on shelves as part of the programme.
