Laura Murphy, an entrepreneur from Omagh in Tyrone, secured investment for her natural energy snack brand Oatco Superfuel on BBC One's Dragons' Den. She accepted a deal from investor Steven Bartlett after receiving offers from three participants. The episode aired last Thursday.

Murphy founded the company in 2024. She aimed to offer better on-the-go snack options. The brand already stocks products in Tesco and Spar stores in Northern Ireland.

Murphy described the appearance as a key step for the business. She credited her team, local retailers, and support from Ulster Bank's Accelerator community in Omagh. She joined that programme recently.

Murphy noted pride in her team's work and the local support network. She stated that companies from Northern Ireland can compete with major industry players.

The team watched the episode at a special event in Ulster Bank's Accelerator Hub. Murphy took part in a question-and-answer session there.

John Ferris, leader of the Accelerator programme, praised Murphy's success. He highlighted the talent among participants in securing investment from prominent investors.
