Enniskillen man faces child grooming and indecent image charges
A 30-year-old Enniskillen man faces a total of seven charges linked to child sexual abuse images and grooming.
Conor James McManus, of Drumbawn Close, is accused of making and possessing an indecent photograph of a child on 1 January 2022. He also faces two counts of distributing indecent photographs of children on 13 and 14 September 2024.
Between 24 August and 14 September 2024, Mr McManus allegedly attempted on at least two occasions to meet a person he believed was under 17. During the same period, he is accused of sexually communicating with a female child under 16.
The case was mentioned at Enniskillen Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Mr McManus was not in attendance. Prosecutors said the case was not ready and requested an adjournment.
District Judge Alana McSorley granted the adjournment and excused Mr McManus from appearing at the next hearing. The case was put back to 1 July at Enniskillen Courthouse. Mr McManus was remanded on continuing bail.
