Two Men Committed to Crown Court on Sexual Offence Charges in Enniskillen Area
Two men from the Enniskillen area have been ordered to stand trial at Dungannon Crown Court on charges related to sexual offences. Geoffrey Rainey Kelly, 42, of Lakeview Crescent in Fivemiletown, faces charges of sexual touching of a woman and breaching a Sexual Offences Order through unsupervised contact with a child. The alleged offences occurred on July 28, 2022, in the Darling Street area of Enniskillen.
Mohit Beda, 33, of Carnmore Rise in Enniskillen, is charged with intentionally engaging in sexual touching of two female children and attempting a more serious assault on one of them. Prosecutors state the incident took place on June 2, 2024.
Both cases were heard at Enniskillen Magistrates Court during committal hearings. A prosecuting lawyer informed the court that sufficient evidence exists for each man to answer the charges. District Judge Alana McSorley agreed in both instances.
Kelly confirmed his identity and understanding of the charges. He chose not to call witnesses or provide evidence at this stage. Judge McSorley granted him bail of £500 and remanded him to appear for arraignment on June 23.
Beda also confirmed his identity and comprehension of the charges. He declined to call witnesses or testify. The judge set his bail at £500 and prohibited contact with either child or prosecution witnesses. He must appear for arraignment on June 23.
