Fourteen Ticketed in PSNI and DVA Vehicle Safety Operation
Fourteen motorists were issued fixed penalty tickets following a joint operation by police and vehicle agency staff in County Londonderry.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) carried out checks on vehicles in the Magherafelt and Moneymore areas.
Officers from the Magherafelt Neighbourhood Policing Team worked alongside DVA personnel to target dangerous vehicles.
A PSNI spokesperson stated that the operation aimed to keep roads safe but that a number of unroadworthy and non-compliant vehicles were intercepted.
The exact nature of the motoring offences was not disclosed.
