Two motorists are facing legal consequences after operations by the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Road Policing Unit.

Officers from the Omagh and Enniskillen road policing teams stopped a vehicle in Omagh and found the driver was disqualified. The person was arrested and taken into custody. Police said this was the fourth time the individual had been caught driving while banned.

In a separate detection near Moneymore, a driver was recorded travelling at 102mph in a 60mph zone. The motorist is expected to be prosecuted for the alleged speeding offence.

A PSNI spokesperson urged all road users to observe speed limits and reminded disqualified motorists that they are not permitted to drive. Anyone found breaching a ban will face enforcement action.
