An artist working on the Thunderbirds franchise will appear at Enniskillen Comic Fest 2026 this weekend.

Connor Flanagan, who creates visual work for Anderson Entertainment, is set to promote the new comic Thunderbirds: Hidden Dangers: Burnout at St Macartin’s Cathedral Hall on Saturday and Sunday. The release is part of the Thunderbirds 60th anniversary merchandise range.

Flanagan was born in Omagh, raised in Coalisland and now lives in the Armagh/Tyrone area. He studied at the University of Ulster at Belfast and has spent 15 years working in the comic book retail sector.

His career with Anderson Entertainment began after meeting Chris Thompson and Andrew Clements in 2017. Flanagan now works under Jamie Anderson, son of the late television producer Gerry Anderson.

Flanagan has said that his involvement with the franchise traces back to a childhood interest sparked by buying a Thunderbirds comic in 1991. He has also done illustration work since his teens, including designing the official school crest for Primate Dixon Primary School in Coalisland and drawing strips for a local newspaper.

Flanagan won a regional short story competition in 1997 and has indicated plans to pursue writing projects alongside his visual art.
