Northern Ireland tourism spend reaches £1.2 billion in 2025
Northern Ireland recorded 5.1 million overnight trips in 2025.
Total tourism spending reached £1.2 billion, both figures up 9% from 2024.
Trips from the Republic of Ireland increased 15% to 1.3 million, with spending by those visitors rising 31% to £317 million.
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald said the figures show steady growth in a sector vital to the economy.
She noted Belfast will host the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and Derry will mark the 40th anniversary of its Halloween festival.
County Fermanagh has joined Ireland's Hidden Heartlands regional brand.
Tourism Northern Ireland chief executive Laura McCorry said the results show tourism is back in growth.
The agency said the region's food and drink offering and world-class attractions helped drive visits.
The minister said she will continue to meet industry representatives and work to meet the target of £2 billion in tourism expenditure by 2035.
Seventy per cent of overnight stays occurred outside the Belfast City Council area.
