Courts: Drink-driver told police 'I don't care' as teenagers remanded over attack on rescue volunteer
CRAIGAVON: An 18-year-old motorist from Lurgan who refused a preliminary breath test and told police 'I don't care' later provided an evidential reading of 49 against a legal limit of 35, and was also found to be uninsured and driving unaccompanied without L plates. District Judge Michael Ranaghan told the defendant he should not have been 'cheeky' to police.
NEWTOWNARDS: A 17-year-old girl charged alongside three boys with affray in Bangor on 27 March, arising from an attack on a search and rescue volunteer and his dog, was remanded in custody after losing her bail address. The case against the four teenagers, who also face charges including causing actual bodily harm to the volunteer and causing unnecessary suffering to his dog, was adjourned to 16 June.
