Co Armagh Businesses Win Top Prizes at Northern Ireland Rural Oscars
Several rural businesses from County Armagh received top honours at the Countryside Alliance Ireland's annual Northern Ireland Rural Oscars awards ceremony at Stormont. The event followed thousands of public nominations narrowed by vote.

The business produces items such as honey-infused apple cider vinegar, Armagh Cider Vinegar and Armagh Bramley Apple Powder. It operates as a social enterprise that reinvests profits via Richmount Rural Community Association to support local services and wellbeing. The orchard also aids heritage orchard preservation and biodiversity.

Sam’s at Laurelvale took the Village Shop and Post Office category. The owner provides essentials, postal services and community support including fundraising, team sponsorships, grocery deliveries and a public defibrillator.
Sally McNally’s near Portadown received Highly Commended in Food and Drink. The venue serves locally inspired dishes including pub favourites, burgers, steaks and seafood.
Winners from each category will represent Northern Ireland at the national event in the House of Lords in July.
