New Petrol Station Proposed Near Killyman in Mid-Ulster
Mid-Ulster District Council has received plans for a new filling station on agricultural land 38 metres east of 192 Killyman Road, at the junction with Far Circular Road, near Killyman.
Mr Trevor Laughlin submitted the application. The site covers 0.70 hectares.
The proposed petrol station includes a sales area of 238.62 square metres. Internal features comprise a deli, office space, staff room and storage.
Eight pumps will sit under a canopy. The site expects around 522 cars daily from staff, service vehicles and customers.
Developers plan 30 parking spaces, including three disabled bays at the front, two family spaces nearby and commercial parking for goods vehicles. Electric vehicle charging points, air and water services and a cycle parking bay are also included.
Access from Killyman Road will be one-way for entry and exit. A pedestrian entrance sits near the Far Circular Road junction. General landscaping and site works form part of the plans.
The council will advertise the application shortly.
