Two brothers from the West Midlands have raised more than £1 million for frontotemporal dementia research ahead of their marathon in Enniskillen.

Jordan and Cian Adams, who carry the gene for the condition that killed their mother Geraldine in 2016 at age 52, began a series of 33 marathons in 33 days across Ireland. Their next run takes place in Fermanagh.

The event starts at 10am from Inis Ceithleann Park behind Belmore Street. The route passes through various locations in the area before returning to the park.

The brothers selected every county on the island because their mother regarded Ireland as home. They ran the London Marathon carrying a fridge prior to this challenge.

Jordan Adams stated their aim is to create a family legacy despite their uncertain futures. He noted the challenge continues beyond the fundraising milestone.

Jordan Adams described the reception in Ireland as exceptional and predicted large crowds ahead. Cian Adams called the public response mind-blowing and thanked Irish supporters.
