Councillor Oliver McMullan, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, hosted a reception at Cloonavin for the Causeway Down’s Syndrome Support Group.

The group, a parent-led charity, began operations 30 years ago. It now assists over 60 families in the area.

McMullan visited the group at a music therapy session in Flowerfield. He noted the support provided to children, young people, and families.

The mayor described children and adults with Down’s Syndrome as valued community members. He stated the group’s programmes aid in building confidence, communication, and connections.
