Four Drink Driving Arrests in Ards and North Down After Newtownards Collision
Police in the Ards and North Down area arrested four drivers for drink driving offences overnight. One arrest followed a collision on Hardford Link in Newtownards.
The driver from the Newtownards collision received hospital treatment. Police charged that individual with dangerous driving and being unfit to drive.
Three additional arrests occurred in the same area for drink driving.
A PSNI spokesperson noted that three of those arrested began Saturday morning in police custody cells. The fourth started the day in hospital under police supervision.
Inspector Boyd stated that driving under the influence carries serious consequences. Police continue to warn drivers against the practice.
