Tesco Northern Ireland has expanded its dairy range with new products from three local producers.

Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt has launched a Madagascan Vanilla & Irish Black Butter Greek Style Yoghurt in collaboration with Portrush-based Irish Black Butter. The product uses the spiced apple preserve, not dairy butter, and is priced at £1.05.

Belfast-based Millar Moo is introducing 500ml glass bottles of chocolate and strawberry flavoured milk drinks, priced at £1.70 each. The company already supplies Tesco with 250ml canned flavoured milk.

Dale Farm has added Dromona Extra Mature Cheddar, a 200g block priced at £2.30. The cheese was named Best Irish Regional Cheese at the Virtual Cheese Awards and won a Gold Star at the Great Taste Awards. The launch coincides with the 30th anniversary of Dale Farm's partnership with Tesco.

Tesco's dairy buying manager for Northern Ireland said the retailer is proud to support local suppliers of all sizes. He said the launches show the quality and innovation coming from local producers.

Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt's commercial director said the company was thrilled to launch the new yoghurt and was pleased with feedback from sampling at the Balmoral Show. He noted the brand has worked with Tesco for nearly 15 years.

Irish Black Butter's international ambassador said the collaboration celebrated quality, provenance and great taste.

Millar Moo's founder said the company was pleased to bring its 500ml bottles to Tesco in two bestselling flavours and to see its range grow with the retailer.

Dale Farm's channel manager said the extra mature cheddar had real depth of character and a distinctive crunch. He said the company was marking the 30-year partnership by bringing the award-winning cheese to shoppers across Northern Ireland.
