Man Assaulted in Newry Street Attack Taken to Hospital
Police in Newry are investigating a serious assault that occurred in the Craigmore View area on April 15 between 12pm and 12.30pm. A man in his 30s was walking in the street when a silver-coloured SUV-type vehicle stopped. Two men and a woman exited the vehicle and struck him several times with a wheel brace and a wrench.
The victim attempted to flee but was knocked down by the vehicle, which then left the scene. He received hospital treatment for a serious head cut, concussion, and additional cuts and bruising.
Detectives have requested witnesses from the Craigmore View area at the time or anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage to come forward.
