Police in Newry are investigating after two shots were fired through the window of a house in the Damolly Village area on Monday evening, March 16.

The incident occurred at around 9.15pm. Residents inside the property at the time escaped physical injury.

Detective Inspector Handley stated that the residents were left badly shaken by the event. Enquiries continue into the matter.

Handley appealed for information from anyone who saw suspicious people or vehicles in the area. He also requested any CCTV, doorbell, or other footage that could help the investigation.
