Holywood FC beat Kilmore Rec 3-1 in a Clarence Cup match on Saturday. The Amateur League Division 1A side progressed to the quarter-finals.

Conor Curran scored for Kilmore Rec early in the game. Stephen Anderson equalised for Holywood directly from kick-off. Jay Harvey put Holywood ahead after 32 minutes. Calum James added a second goal midway through the second half.

Kilmore's Caolan Conlon received a red card late in the match. Holywood play at home in Holywood, County Down.

Earlier in the Clarence Cup, Holywood won 4-0 against Dunmurry YM and 2-0 against Mossley, a Premier club.

Holywood sit second in their league, 10 points behind leaders Dunmurry YM with five games in hand.

Glen Upton and Jonny McKay manage the team. Quarter-final opponents include Derriaghy CC, Islandmagee, East Belfast, Willowbank, St Oliver Plunkett, Greenisland or Sirocco.
