Belfast Children’s Festival Features Intergenerational Arts Performance
Children from Knocknagoney Nursery School and older people from Clifton House Care Home took part in an arts performance called Shall we... together during the Belfast Children’s Festival last week.
The event occurred at the Ulster Museum. It formed part of an intergenerational project involving children from four nursery schools and eight older people's settings across Belfast.
Young at Art organised the project in partnership with Commedia of Errors’ Plays Aloud and National Museums NI. The Arts Council of Northern Ireland provided partial funding through its National Lottery funded Arts and Older People programme.
The 28th annual Belfast Children’s Festival ran for 10 days and included 130 events focused on family-friendly creative activities and performances. The Arts Council of Northern Ireland principally funded the festival through National Lottery funding.
