Dungannon Swifts has begun using locally generated wind electricity for its Stangmore Park facilities in Dungannon, including the clubhouse and academy. The club partnered with 3T Power, Northern Ireland's supplier of 100% locally generated renewable electricity.

Club chairman Keith Boyd stated the club aims to stay ahead of new regulations. He noted the partnership provides a competitive rate given the high electricity use at the site. Facilities operate from 9am to 11pm most days, supporting training academy, outdoor areas, boardroom, and back office functions.

Boyd said the switch helps meet UEFA Social and Environmental Sustainability Guidelines. The club also generates some electricity via solar panels and plans to add EV charging points.

Boyd added that renewable energy benefits fans, players, and guests at Stangmore Park.

3T Power sales manager John-Francis Collins said sporting clubs shape future generations by adopting environmentally responsible practices. He noted clubs unite communities and demonstrate emission reductions for organizations of all sizes.
