Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins announced a £1.1 million resurfacing scheme on the A29 Moy Road in Armagh. The works cover a 900m stretch north of Grange Blundell Road junction to south of Kinbawn Road junction and an 850m stretch north of Aghanore Road to south of Drumcairn Road. The project includes carriageway repairs near Cabragh Road.

Preparatory works run from Monday, March 30 to Saturday, April 4 with overnight closures from 8pm to 6am. Main resurfacing starts Monday, April 13 subject to weather, under daytime traffic control from 9.30am to 4.30pm and overnight closures to May 2.

Traffic diversions for overnight closures follow Moy Road, Railway Street, Lonsdale Road, College Hill, Portadown Road, Dobbin Road, Armagh Road, Northway, Brownstown Road, Charles Street, Corcrain Road, Dungannon Road, Moy Road, Ardress Road, Summerisland Road, Collegelands Road, Main Street, and Armagh Road.

A temporary 40mph speed limit applies throughout. DUP MLA Deborah Erskine welcomed the scheme for the road in poor condition. Kimmins stated the investment improves the network to connect businesses and communities and thanked road users for patience.
