Mid Ulster Council Launches Public Consultation on 2026-2027 Priorities
Mid Ulster District Council has started a public consultation to gather resident feedback on service priorities for 2026-2027. The process aims to identify improvements based on community needs.
DUP Councillor Cahoon outlined three main objectives. The council plans to improve customer experience by focusing services on residents. It also intends to offer children and young people chances to build skills, remain active and engage in communities.
A third goal targets lower council carbon emissions via a sustainability strategy and climate action plan. Councillor Cahoon stated these objectives address current and future resident concerns.
Resident responses will guide service development. The consultation runs until noon on Friday, April 24.
People can respond online through the council website's corporate improvement planning page. Hard copies are available at council offices in Cookstown, Dungannon and Magherafelt. Returns can be made there or by post to the Corporate Performance and Quality Officer at Circular Road, Dungannon BT71 6DT.
