Councillors in Mid Ulster District Council expressed frustration over delays in a Housing Executive scheme to install new PVC windows in homes on Eastvale Avenue and Kilcoole Drive in Dungannon.

DUP Councillor Clement Cuthbertson raised the matter at the council's latest monthly meeting. He noted that the Housing Executive announced during their October presentation that work would start on site in Dungannon no later than the last week of January. No residents have received contact from the contractor despite the contract being signed and handed over, even as the last week of March arrives.

Cuthbertson suggested the council send a reminder to the Housing Executive about their October commitment.

Sinn Féin Councillor Niall McAleer highlighted similar unfulfilled promises for developments in Stewartstown. He called for follow-up to get the scheme underway, as residents grow frustrated.

The window upgrade scheme follows years of waiting in the area.
