A 29-year-old man from Larne faces charges of assault and false imprisonment of a female. Ross Clarke, whose address is Hampton Crescent after previously being listed as Herbert Avenue, also faces a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner. The alleged offences took place on April 29 2025.

Clarke appeared at Antrim Magistrates Court, which sat in Ballymena on Tuesday. An arrest warrant had been issued before his appearance.

The court sent the case to Crown Court. Clarke received bail set at £500.
