Fermanagh Shop Worker Vera Bogue Dies After 30 Years Service
Vera Bogue, who worked for 30 years at Lilley’s Centra and Topaz Service Station, died peacefully at home on Friday. Staff described her as a loyal and hardworking colleague who took pride in high standards.
Colleagues remembered her sense of humour and love of practical jokes that brought laughter to the workplace. They noted her ability to connect with customers of all ages and provide help when needed.
Bogue had been absent from the shop for 18 months due to illness before retiring following a terminal diagnosis. Staff said the workplace felt different without her presence.
The family-owned business shared a tribute expressing devastation at the loss of a close friend to many. They reflected on the memories from her three decades there.
A Requiem Mass for Bogue will take place at St. Joseph's Church in Cradien at 11am on Monday, followed by burial at Tempo Graveyard.
