Fivemiletown Primary School and Nursery in Fermanagh has established a new breakfast club called Toast and Technology, funded by 1,000 pounds from Tesco's Stronger Starts initiative. The club serves pupils from primary year 1 to 7 starting at 8am each day. It provides warm breakfasts alongside science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities.

The area of Fivemiletown ranks among Ulster's most deprived, based on data from the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency. Principal Florence Pryce stated that play-based activities in the club build skills including curiosity, creativity, resilience and critical thinking for future education. She thanked the funding scheme for enabling improved learning opportunities.

Tesco's Stronger Starts programme funds community projects throughout Northern Ireland. Claire De Silva, head of community at Tesco, noted the company's support for schools through customer voting with blue tokens at checkouts. Customers place tokens in boxes to back local projects benefiting various ages.
