Shared Education Partnerships Conclude Sessions Across Northern Ireland Schools
Two shared education partnerships involving four Northern Ireland primary schools have concluded their most recent sessions under the PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project.
Pupils from Carr Primary School and Millennium Integrated Primary School took part in mixed-group activities including dodgeball, basketball and football. The sessions were designed to allow children from different community backgrounds to work together and build relationships.
Separately, St Francis Primary School and Spa Primary School completed five shared sessions featuring icebreakers, scavenger hunts, team challenges, dance, gymnastics, creative arts, alpaca encounters and outdoor reflection. Some activities took place at Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes and Castlewellan Forest Park. Pupils also designed collaborative T-shirts and created gifts for parents and carers.
The PEACEPLUS ASPIRE project is led by the Education Authority in partnership with Léargas, Early Years, the National Childhood Network and the Fermanagh Trust. It is funded by the PEACEPLUS programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
