Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will hold a meeting on the future of Omagh at the Strule Arts Centre. The event starts at 7pm on Thursday, April 30.

Barry McElduff, chair of the council, organised a recent gathering on the town's prospects. Participants shared various views at that event.

Next week's meeting allows attendees to receive feedback on those ideas. It also provides an opportunity to discuss advancing any agreed proposals.

Registration is available for the event.

Separately, a conference on sustainable tourism in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area is set for May 7 at Glenpark Estate in Omagh. BBC presenter Barra Best will host the event.
