A Newry man is preparing to run the Dublin Marathon on October 25, 2026, to raise money for Rathore School.

Anthony Morgan’s son Conor is a pupil at the school, which provides specialist education for children and young people aged 3 to 19 with complex learning difficulties. He began running in July last year and completed the Belfast Marathon in May. The Dublin event will be his second marathon.

Rathore School, led by principal Caroline Currie, serves the Newry and Down area. Its stated mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment that helps pupils achieve their potential.

Morgan has set up a GoFundMe page with a target of £700; donations have already surpassed £570. He said all contributions, regardless of size, will help fund school activities, outings, and opportunities for pupils beyond the classroom.

He thanked supporters for their kindness and said he would share updates during his training.
