Musician Diane Cannon will launch a new album, 'Mín na Craoibhe', along with an accompanying book, at Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich in Belfast on 1 August. The event is part of TradFest Belfast 2026.

The album was produced by Donal O'Connor, and the book was co-written with Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríghde. Work on the project began around 2019 but was paused during the Covid pandemic. After incorporating the Ulster Orchestra, further delays followed when Cannon contracted sepsis and later required surgery. She has since recovered.

The title track, written by Cathal Ó Searcaigh, draws on Cannon's upbringing in the townland of Mín na Craoibhe in County Donegal. The collection also features contributions from Steve Cooney, Doiminic Mac Giolla Bhríde, and Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin. Jesse Smith designed the song layouts.

Cannon previously lived in Belfast and worked at the Cultúrlann. The launch will take place at 5pm.
