Lena Tracey was surprised with a 90th birthday party at Strathfoyle library on Tuesday morning.

The Enagh Seniors group organised the event in secret, with help from Mrs Tracey's family. Members arranged refreshments and a cake, and decorated the venue.

Flowers, presents, and cards were given to Mrs Tracey, a Strathfoyle resident since 1960. She was born in Campsie.

Mrs Tracey has eight children, 23 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. Many of them attended the party.

The Mayor also visited to offer birthday wishes.

A spokesperson for the Enagh Seniors said the group was pleased with the event and hoped it created happy memories for Mrs Tracey and her family.
