Cemeteries in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area will move to winter opening hours starting on Sunday, November 3.

From that date, all council-run cemeteries will be open from 8am to 4.30pm daily, including weekends.

The change will remain in effect until Monday, March 31, according to a council spokesperson.

Visitors are advised to plan their visits within these hours and to leave before the gates close.

The council has asked for public cooperation and reminded visitors to adhere to the stated opening times during the winter period.
