Ballymena fashion show sells out and raises £1,340 for charity
The Ballymena Autumn/Winter Fashion Show was held at The Braid in Ballymena on Friday 9 October, with more than 200 people attending.
Organised by Ballymena BID and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, the event returned for its fourth year and was sold out. It showcased fashion and accessories from independent boutiques, independent department stores and high street retailers in the town centre.
Rebecca McKinney hosted and styled the show for the second year. The theme was Romanticising Autumn/Winter.
The event raised £1,340 for Turning Point NI through a raffle. Prizes were donated by local businesses.
Lynn was named Best Dressed and received a £150 Ballymena Gift Card and a bouquet of flowers. The prizes were sponsored by the Ballymena Gift Card and Flowerworks.
Lesley McCaughan, Chair of Ballymena BID's Marketing Group, said the event highlighted the style and choice available from Ballymena retailers and encouraged people to browse and discover shops in the town centre.
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Alderman Thomas Gordon said it was fantastic to see local businesses come together and showcase fashion available in the town centre.
Each attendee received a Love Ballymena tote bag and a goodie bag sponsored by Rituals, which has supported the event since its first year. Travelmax gave each guest a £50 holiday voucher, and some retailers offered post-show discounts and vouchers.
Ballymena BID thanked Rituals, Love Ballymena, Travelmax and participating retailers for their contributions.
