Dunlewey Addiction Services opens Armagh satellite clinic for young people
Dunlewey Addiction Services has opened a satellite clinic in Armagh to improve access to addiction and family support for young people across the region.
The office is based at Lurgyyallen Business Park, 72 Cathedral Road, and will deliver services to communities in Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon, Dungannon and Newry and Mourne.
A weekly drop-in clinic begins on 16 June, running every Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm.
The service provides confidential counselling, mentoring, education and harm reduction programmes for individuals aged 11 to 25 years, along with support for their families.
A new initiative funded by the National Lottery Community Fund will focus on gaming and gambling harms among 11- to 17-year-olds. Planned activities include trauma-informed assessments, school outreach, information workshops and peer-led steering groups.
Chief executive Pauline Campbell said the new space allows the charity to offer free, safe and accessible support where it is most needed, and that early intervention can make a lasting difference.
Dunlewey Addiction Services is funded by the Public Health Agency to deliver drug and alcohol support. Information about accessing services is available on the organisation's website.
