A fundraising talent show takes place in Derry on Friday evening to benefit The Northlands Centre, a residential addiction recovery facility. The event features 13 participants performing songs in the style of famous singers.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a drinks reception with live piano music by Ryan Daly. The main performances start at 7.30pm, judged by local personalities Elaine Maxwell, Keavan McCaul and Jordan O’Keefe. A raffle runs during the show, followed by dancing.

TikTok creator It'sJaners organises and hosts the event. The motivation stems from addiction's effects on the local community, including family members who received treatment at such centres and others who did not survive.

The Northlands Centre provides rehabilitation programmes in Derry at a time of increased demand and reduced public funding for addiction services.
