Garth Brooks will perform two outdoor concerts in Belfast in May 2027.

The American country singer is scheduled to play at Boucher Road Playing Fields on 21 and 22 May.

These will be his first Northern Ireland performances since a five-night run at the King's Hall in Belfast in November 1998.

The Belfast dates form part of a wider Irish tour, with two shows each also planned for Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Cork.

Tickets for the Belfast concerts go on sale at 8am on Thursday, November 12, through Ticketmaster.ie.

In a social media post announcing the dates, Brooks wrote: "I've been dreaming of this a long time, Ireland... love, g."

He said in promotional material that Ireland has been special to him since he first played there, citing the Irish love of music.

Brooks last performed in Ireland in September 2022, with five sold-out concerts at Dublin's Croke Park.

Those followed a cancelled five-night run at Croke Park in 2014 after Dublin City Council granted licences for only three of the shows, leading Brooks to pull out entirely.

The singer has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, making him one of the biggest-selling artists in US history.
