Roadworks for the Ballymena Park and Ride expansion start on 1 June and will continue until August 2026.

The project is centred on the junction of Galgorm Road and Waveney Road near Ballymena Train Station.

Translink will carry out off-peak lane restrictions and night-time working while keeping roads open.

The expansion will add 387 parking spaces, upgraded pedestrian routes, and improved cycling facilities.

Reduced vehicle access for drop-offs and pick-ups at the station front will also apply during the works.

Translink project manager Terence Quinn said the works form a key step in delivering expanded parking and supporting sustainable travel.

Motorists and passengers have been advised to allow extra travel time and check updates via the Translink website or app.
