A Strabane artist has received a £1,000 grant to support his performance at a London festival.

Isaac Quinn will use the funding to cover accessibility costs for travel and accommodation while performing his one-man show at the Camden Fringe Festival.

The grant comes from the Atypical Generation Fund, which is delivered by University of Atypical on behalf of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and uses National Lottery funding.

The fund supports deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists across Northern Ireland in developing their creative practice.

Quinn's show, titled 'Retardant', follows a young autistic trans man who leaves rural Donegal for Belfast to pursue his ambitions.

The production includes musical numbers and explores themes of fandom and queer coming of age.

The Atypical Generation Fund awarded grants to 20 artists across theatre, film, literature, visual arts and music.
