Dairy Tanker Lorry Ignites Twice on Tyrone Road Near Omagh
A dairy tanker lorry caught fire on Clanabogan Road near Omagh in Tyrone on Tuesday morning. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received reports shortly after 7am.
Firefighters from Omagh Fire Station and Dromore Fire Station responded. They wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to put out the flames. Crews departed the scene at 7.51am.
Less than two hours later, at 8.49am, the fire reignited. Firefighters returned to the location. They again used one hose reel jet to extinguish it.
The service determined the cause as accidental ignition. Firefighters cleared the scene at 9.17am.
