Fermanagh Farmer James Morrison Named YFCU Vice President for 2026
James Morrison, a 20-year-old from County Fermanagh, has been appointed vice president on the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster presidential team for 2026.
Morrison belongs to Lisbellaw Young Farmers’ Club, which he joined at age 12. He serves as club leader and Fermanagh YFC county chairperson. He farms as a fourth-generation member of his family.
He studies sustainable agriculture with agri-business at Greenmount College in Antrim. Morrison works weekly as an auctioneer and takes part in farming at home.
In his community, he sings in the church choir with his father and performs with Maguiresbridge Silver Band. He plays rugby for Clogher Valley Rugby Football Club.
Morrison wants to promote member and club interactions in YFCU to form friendships and encourage new competitions. He focuses on livestock events to build skills and wider engagement.
YFCU Chief Executive Derek Lough congratulated Morrison on his appointment. Lough noted Morrison's dedication and leadership in his club and county.
