Competitors at Feis Doire Cholmcille in Derry received awards in singing, drama and piano on Friday April 10. The Langan family members David, Amy, Ben and James took multiple medals including golds, silvers and bronzes across those disciplines. David earned three golds, one silver and one bronze. Amy secured two golds in singing and two bronzes in drama. Ben won the Junior Any Song category for ages 14-16. James claimed four golds in singing along with the Sacred Cup, the Bertie Barrett Cup and boys solo under-12.

Sophia Hutchinson, a pupil at Michelle Mc Laughlin Conaghan Singing School and Foyle School of Speech & Drama, won the Edward Henry O'Doherty Shield for the under-16 competitor with the most overall points. She also took the Eileen Coyle Cup for most points in under-16 singing and the Veritas Trophy for best Bible interpretation. Hutchinson placed first in original poetry with the Senior Feis Cup, girls solo with the Phyllis Simms Cup, girls and boys Irish song with the Casey Cup, and prepared Bible reading with the Senior Feis Cup. She earned seconds in popular song, senior character study, sight test, favourite poem, young people's verse, studied prose, junior repertoire and sacred solo, plus third in junior any song.

James O'Toole won best male vocalist with the Josep Locke award. Portia Conaghan placed third in musical theatre under-12. Her cousin Cassy Cullen took second in P6 English song, second in musical theatre ages 8-12, third in studied prose and third in P6 poem.
