The Transport Department of the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust has received the Logistics UK Van Excellence award for the tenth consecutive year.

The Trust is the only public sector organisation in Northern Ireland with this accreditation. It is one of three organisations in the region to hold the status.

The award recognises standards in van operation, including road safety, environmental responsibility and operational efficiency.

Richard Walker, Transport Service Lead at South Eastern Trust, stated that the department operates its fleet of vans according to industry best practice. He noted that the scheme measures an organisation's approach to compliant, safe and efficient fleet management. Walker expressed pride in the Transport Team for reaching the ten-year milestone.
