Magherafelt Woman Faces Sentencing for Multiple Police Assaults and Disorderly Behaviour

District Judge Conor Heaney deferred her sentence to January 27. He ordered her to pay £166.30 in compensation to the PSNI for spitting in two cell vans.
On July 19, police responded to reports of Denvir shouting abuse at residents on Leckagh Walk in Magherafelt. She tried to kick one resident. Officers took her to the ground and handcuffed her. She shouted insults at police and scratched a constable.
On August 24, Denvir entered a property in Ballymena. She became aggressive toward officers who arrived and refused to leave. She kicked at a constable and required restraint.
On September 25, police arrested Denvir after reports of her shouting abuse in a public place.
Judge Heaney noted Denvir failed to attend Probation as previously expected. He stated this limited court options to prevent reoffending.
