Fermanagh Football Manager Michael Kerr Enters Hall of Fame Posthumously
Michael Kerr received posthumous induction into the Fermanagh and Western Football League Hall of Fame. His wife Donna accepted the award at a ceremony in Enniskillen on the eve of what would have been his 41st birthday. Kerr died in June last year at age 40.
Kerr contributed to Enniskillen Rangers as a player and manager. The club won four Irish Junior Cup titles from 2017 to 2024 under his involvement. Those victories included three in a row.
Rangers also secured three Mercer League titles, five Kennedy Cup wins, and one All-Ireland Presidents Cup during that period. Kerr began his career following his father and earned schoolboy international honours. He played for Ballinamallard United and Monaghan United before returning to Enniskillen Rangers.
League chairman Neil Jardine stated that Kerrs achievements endorsed his skills as a manager. Jardine added that Kerr earned respect from those who knew him.
Donna Kerr said her husband possessed a winning mentality and tactical mind. She noted football served as a lifelong passion where he formed friendships and family memories, including post-match celebrations with their daughters.
