Dungannon Magistrates’ Court awarded £52,755.26 to the Police Service of Northern Ireland on Wednesday. The forfeiture followed a search at the Armagh home of 37-year-old Peadair O’Maldomnaigh.

The search stemmed from an investigation into suspected drug-related criminality by a group in the Enniskillen area. Fermanagh & Omagh District Support Team and Economic Crime Branch conducted the probe.

Officers seized suspicious vehicles in Enniskillen in June 2024. They then searched O’Maldomnaigh’s residence and took Euro cash along with other items.

O’Maldomnaigh provided no explanation for the cash source. His legal representative did not contest the forfeiture at the hearing.

Inspector Gary Irvine stated the district support team will pursue criminal activity participants. He said crime does not pay.

Inspector Irvine credited local community support for the forfeiture. He asked the public to report suspicions of criminally funded lifestyles for further investigation.
