Pamela Stephens, a hairdresser and businesswoman from Enniskillen, has died at her home on Granshagh Road, Granshagh, after a battle with cancer.

Mrs Stephens, who was originally from Trillick, passed away on Sunday, August 23, with her family present. She had been receiving treatment for Stage 4 ovarian cancer that had spread to her liver and brain.

Earlier this year, a GoFundMe campaign raised more than £100,000 to fund medical care abroad. In April, Mrs Stephens publicly thanked those who had donated after she underwent treatment in Istanbul, Turkey.

She is survived by her husband Anthony, children Alex, Toni-Louise and James, and grandchildren Melody, Hudson and Sophie. Her mother Violet, sisters Jill and Erica, and brothers Gordon and Alan also survive her. Her father Eric predeceased her.

Friends have described Mrs Stephens as a kind and courageous person. One friend, Melania Kerr, said she had a beautiful nature and would miss their visits, while Brian Lindsay said he had found the truest friendship in her.

A service of thanksgiving will be held at Ballinamallard Methodist Church on Thursday, August 27, at 1pm, followed by burial in Cleenish Parish Churchyard, Bellanaleck. The family has requested family flowers only, with donations in lieu directed to SWELL Fermanagh.
