Police in Portadown are investigating an arson incident in the Clonavon Avenue area. A bin was set on fire and pushed against the front door of a property shortly after 3am on Thursday 20 August 2026.

The incident was reported at 3.19am. Officers are treating it as arson.

A young male was seen running from the scene. He was wearing a black hoodie and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Another male was spotted in the area at the time. He was dressed all in black and riding an e-scooter.

Police have asked anyone who was in the Clonavon Avenue area around that time and noticed anything suspicious, or who has CCTV or dash-cam footage covering the area, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 279 of 20/08/26.
