Martin McCarney appeared before Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday charged with the murder of Ellie Flanagan. The 45-year-old, of Foxhill Road, Enniskillen, attended via video link.

He faces a second charge of possessing three knives with intent to commit murder.

A prosecutor said police are assembling a case file and are awaiting forensic and pathology reports. A timeframe for submission to the Crown Prosecution Service will be set after those reports are received.

Deputy Judge Brian Archer adjourned the case until 3 August.
